School days

School started last week. Both boys have good teachers and they are enjoying school. Austin is in 3rd grade, which is hard to believe. This will be his last year at this school. I only have 1 picture because you know 3rd graders are too cool to have their moms take pictures of them in their class! I asked him if I could give him a hug and kiss when I dropped him off. Of course, his answer was "NO!!!" :)

This has nothing to do with school but he is playing fall baseball and he got on an already established team with some boys in our neighborhood. He moves up to kid-pitch this year and all I have heard is that he wants to be a pitcher. Well, he had his first practice with the team on Friday night and he made a homerun and played really good. So after practice the coach asked him to be one of the teams pitchers. He was SO excited! Now we have pitching practice on Monday nights and regular practice on Friday nights plus church on Wednesdays. Everything has started up again and life is crazy! Not to mention Heath is at school every night so I am doing it all alone. But, he's supposed to finish in May so it's almost over!

Kamden is in half day Pre-K at the same school as Austin. They split the Pre-K into morning and afternoon classes. He goes in the afternoon from 1:00-3:40. He loves it. The only time he cried was the morning of the first day because he couldn't stay when we dropped Austin off. All this week he has asked in the mornings "What o'clock is it?" or he'll tell me "it's 1:00, we're going to be late!"

He's trying out his new shoes to see how fast he can run.

Going to class

In his classroom

The school is across the street from our subdivision so we can walk to school. We have a crossing guard that stops the traffic for us to cross the street. But this year the district gave us a bus just for our subdivision. Only the kids in the elementary school that live in our neighborhood get to ride it which is a good thing because I know how much kids 'learn' on the bus with older kids. So, the boys have been riding the bus and they like it. This is the 1st time Austin has ever rode the bus. He's a good big brother and takes care of Kamden. The 1st time they rode it he sat with Kamden and his friend, Logan. The next day Kamden told me he didn't want Austin to sit with him and Logan. I guess he's too big for his brother to sit by him.
