A visit from the tooth fairy

Kamden got a visit from the tooth fairy last night! His front tooth has been slighty loose for a while but a couple of weeks ago he bit a goldfish cracker and it has been really loose since. I knew it was coming but I still wasn't ready for the 'snaggle-tooth' look. So yesterday he hit it with the doorknob as he opened the door. He came running to me crying "My tooth, my tooth!". Sure enough, I looked and it was sticking straight out so I had to pull it. He didn't mind too much; for the rest of the day he had to show everyone that he lost a tooth. I asked him what he thought the tooth fairy was going to bring him and he said "candy". I told him the tooth fairy wanted healthy teeth not teeth with cavities. :) Needless to say, he got "a bunch of dollars" as he says.

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

Austin's baseball team went to the Tulsa Drillers baseball game a few weeks ago. They got to go onto the field with the players for the National Anthem and they got autographs. Their team was also recognized on the big screen before the game. The boys had a blast!

Our New Home...

...is now at the baseball park! With both boys playing ball I feel like we live at the ball park. I guess it's a good thing we enjoy it! We have been there 5 out of the past 6 days. Anyway, here are some pictures from one of Austin's games.

Easter Weekend

Happy Easter! We've had a good Easter and the weather has been great here for a change. Austin was not out of school on Friday, which I could not believe, but after school we had a egg hunt at the neighborhood park with some playgroup friends. The boys had fun and found lots of eggs and ate lots of yummy treats.

Friday night we dyed eggs. We have sports eggs, egg vehicles and monster eggs. I love to dye eggs. Every year it reminds me of Grandpa Truman because I can remember going to their house every year at Easter and he would be sitting at the bar dying tons of eggs.

On Saturday, Kamden had a ballgame but after it we came home and flew kites and hunted more eggs. By the way, Tulsa is a GREAT place to fly kites-the wind here NEVER stops blowing. I'm probably going to have to by some better kites. The $1 ones from Wal-mart doesn't hold up to well with all this wind. Today after church we went to eat at Copeland's and we took the boys to Bass Pro Shop. They had an egg hunt in the store, got to make an Easter craft and Kamden got his picture with the Easter bunny. Austin was too big for this, of course. While we were eating lunch, I asked Kamden what he learned at church. His reply was "we learned about the Easter bunny and how he hops." I was a little concerned but then I rephrased my question to "what did you learn during Bible story. This time I got a better answer: "we learned about Jesus dying on the cross and the people moved the rock and there was no body there". How sweet!

It's Finally Kamden's Turn!

To play baseball!!! Kamden started T-Ball this year and he loves it. He thinks he is as big as Austin! His 1st game was on Saturday and he did really good. Of course at 3 years old there's not a lot of ball playing going on but at least they're having fun. He hits the ball really good. The first time he hit the ball he ran the bases in the correct order but the next time was a 'little' different. He went from 2nd through pitcher's mound to home then back to 3rd base and then he ran from 3rd to home back to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and home AGAIN (all in 1 hit)! I think he enjoys running bases, what do you think?
