M is for Mom

I had a good Mother's Day weekend. Saturday, we went fishing. We went to a nearby lake and fished from the bank. We had a good time and we caught about 50 fish! Sunday, after church, we fried our fish for lunch.

Kamden caught the first 2 fish and that made him "happy, happy, happy" as he quotes from Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty. :)

Austin caught the third and fourth fish. His fish in this picture kind of blends in with the bushes so you'll have to look hard to see it.

My fishermen just waiting on a bite.

This was part of my Mother's Day gift and I LOVE it!! We have almost finished one DVD already. Austin and Kamden love watching it too and yes, they are already saying "What you talkin' 'bout Willis?" LOL

Homeruns and Field Trips!

We are counting down the last two weeks of school. We only have 6.5 days left!!! But...as always the last few weeks of school are BUSY!

First things first, Austin and Kamden both hit homeruns in their baseball games this week. Of course, I didn't take my camera to the game so I don't have any pictures but we were so excited for them.

Austin's class went to Little Rock on Monday to a Civil War museum. They got to see some re-enactments of some of the ways people lived during that time. It was interesting and they enjoyed it.

This was the freed slave that talked to them.

They are learning some commands from the army general. Austin is kind of in the middle.

Kamden had a field trip on Tuesday. They went to the bowling alley here in Searcy.

Kamden's First Game

Last night was Kamden's first t-ball game. He was so excited; he couldn't wait to get there. He has been playing t-ball since he was 3 so he's a little burnt out on it and ready to move up to the next league. Heath & I tried to move him up this year but the league wouldn't allow it. So, he will just have to suffer through another season of t-ball. He believes that he is just as big as Austin and should be doing the same thing in his games that Austin is doing (including wearing a cup) HA! He played really good last night. He played at first base the entire game and made tons of outs (even the other parents were talking about how good he was) and he got some good hits too!! My cute little ballplayer.
Here he is leading off 2nd base 'just like Austin'. :)
Sliding into home (again...just like Austin). He wasn't too happy that the coach didn't move the tee the second time he came home; so he only got to slide once. :)
This is one of his outs at first. Look closely and you can see the ball in his glove.
