Basketball

Kamden is playing upward basketball at our church. His first game was a couple of weeks ago. He scored the first 2 points of the game and he was SO excited! He hasn't scored anymore points since then but he sure is trying hard! Here are some of the pictures from his first 2 games.

Shooting the ball.

He's getting ready to guard his man.

Bringing the ball down the court. This was his 2nd game so he has on a black jersey this week.

He loves to take the ball out!

Report Cards!

Yesterday was report card day. Austin made all A's and Kamden had all A's and one B (which was 1 point from an A)!! We are so proud of the hard work they have done this 9 weeks. I guess Heath will be breaking out the ol' wallet and paying up for the good grades. The boys can't wait for him to get home tomorrow! HA!

Christmas - Part 4

Our fourth and final Christmas was on Austin's birthday and it was at Maw Maw Rat's house. As usual, it was wild and crazy! There are 12 great grandkids, ages ranging from 11-2, so we had to be creative and come up with some games and prizes to keep them busy until they got to open presents.

Betsy wanted to try too! :)

The bingo game

As you can see, all the kids (and adults) had a great time playing with cousins and we can't wait to go back in the spring and visit again!

Austin Turns 11!

Austin's 11th birthday was Friday while we were in Jena. We didn't have a party or anything but we did have cupcakes with his cousins that night while we had Christmas at Maw Maw Rat's house. Next year, we'll do better. :)

Opening presents with a little help from Lawton and Kamden.

Duck Commander

After Christmas and all the snow we left Searcy on Thursday and headed back to Jena for another Christmas and to actually have time to visit. On the way to Jena we decided to go by the Duck Commander Warehouse in West Monroe. Duck Dynasty is our favorite show and the boys could NOT wait to get there. They were so excited! As we were waiting to pull in the parking lot we saw Jase leaving in his truck. Austin and Kamden thought that was so cool.

This is the 40th Anniversary duck call they made on one of the Duck Dynasty episodes. It is signed by Phil Robertson.

THE Duck Dynasty truck!

Christmas - Part 3

Sunday evening we had Christmas at my grandma Sue's house. We had a good time visiting and opening presents.

These boys love their Nonnie!

Boy, don't they look happy! :)

Ella Grace, always 'cheesin'.

Present Time!

We left Jena the next day on Christmas Eve to go back home so Santa could come visit.

Christmas - Part 2

Saturday evening we had Christmas with Heath's family at his cousin, Jonathan's house. We had a blast! We ate jambalaya, boudin, and tons of snacks and desserts. We 'elfed ourselves' and we all got a good laugh out of that! After we opened presents, we had a firework show and then we went on a hayless hayride caroling and looking at Christmas lights in the neighborhood. It was SO much fun! I think we should make it a family tradition. (Jonathan may think differently after having all of us over. LOL)

Enjoying the feast.

Heath was 'elfed'!

So was Emmalee, Raelee, Kamden & Mollie!

Waiting on presents.

FINALLY...They cooperated! :)

Heath's mom bought her kids a Wahoo game for Christmas. They used to have one when they were little and they played it ALL the time. She surprised them all with their very own game this year. We have almost worn ours out!! We LOVE it! Austin keeps asking 'why didn't we get this sooner?' :)

Christmas Catch-up: Part 1

Over the next few days I'm going to try and catch-up from Christmas. On Friday, December 21 after the kids got out of school, we headed to Jena for a weekend full of Christmas gatherings.

We started Friday night at momma & daddy's house. Both my brothers and their families were there and we had a great time and made lots of memories!

Uncle Malcolm & Aunt Victoria got the boys blow guns and a dart board!

Lawton with his new marshmallow gun from Austin & Kamden.

Heath and daddy just taking life easy.

Paw Paw & Nonnie got the grandsons plasma cars!!!

Daddy and his new hat to keep his bald head warm!

Austin teaching Lawton how to play 'water pong'. Of all the toys they got, they chose to play with a ball and cups.

Saturday morning, Heath and Austin went duck hunting on the river with Dustin & LaRay. They killed 17!

Here is a picture Heath took while they were hunting.

While they hunted, Kamden helped Paw Paw work in the shop.

After the hunt, Lawton helped with the duck picking. His Paw Paw Teet would be SO proud of him!
