Play Ball!!

It's that time of year again! Austin had his first two baseball games last week. They went really well. He got to start the season pitching and he did a great job striking batters out. When he's not pitching he plays at shortstop. He got a new bat this year and he has put it to good use getting some nice hits. So far his team has won both games. Here are a few pictures of him pitching.
Kamden has his first game on Tuesday so I'll post some pictures of him later.

Easter

We had a good Easter weekend along with a nice surprise visit from my mom and dad. Saturday, our church had an Easter egg hunt at the park. They served hamburgers, pizza and hot dogs for lunch and then the egg hunt began. Both boys had a good time and they both found a golden egg which they got to trade in for a gold dollar. Saturday night, momma called and they were on their way with their camper. They met us at church on Sunday morning. I didn't tell Austin and Kamden they were coming so they were excited to see them. After church, we hunted more eggs and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine.

Kamden enjoyed his hot dog at the egg hunt.

They were getting their 'game plan' together.

Waiting on the whistle.
Showing off their golden eggs!

Here are some of our pictures from Easter Sunday. The sun was a little too bright. :)

Turtles

We now have 3 new 'pet' turtles. The boys and their cousin, Raelee, found one at the creek a couple of weeks ago. They insisted that we keep it. So we went to Wal-mart and bought an aquarium and food for it.

Yesterday, Heath found two more turtles on the way to work and brought them home to the boys. They built them a nice little pen to live in. Austin and Kamden had to check on them before school to make sure they were okay. :)

Here is one eating a worm.

And here is the other trying to escape.

Kamden got permission from his teacher to bring his turtle to school. So, tomorrow I will be taking a turtle to his class for show and tell. I'm trying to talk him into taking the little one but he's not having that one bit. Imagine that!! :)

Landscaping

Over the last month, Heath and I have been busy re-landscaping our yard. We have been working our tails off packing stone and bags of soil, manure and mulch. Not to mention, we have been transplanting and planting more flowers. Yard work is HARD work but it is so nice when it is finished. We are by no means professionals but we are proud of our finished product. We have done the front and back yard but right now I only have pictures of the front.

I have to show off my new Easter egg wreath. Momma and I made these when I went to Jena for spring break.
