We Speak Letters

Last week we had a worker come by to repair something at the house. Of course, the guy could barely speak English and I had to have him repeat everything at least twice. When he left Kamden said "Momma, he was speaking English." I tried to explain to him that he spoke Spanish and we speak English but he said "No, we speak letters not English!" :)

Future MLB Pitcher?!

Austin has started fall baseball and he is doing so good! Fall ball only last 4 weeks with the boys playing double headers each week. We changed teams this season and all the boys are from our neighborhood or the one next to us so Austin knew almost all of them. And best of all, they practice in the baseball field in our subdivision! Yay, no more driving for 30 minutes for practice!!! Anyway, this season he moved up to kid-pitch and all I had heard was how he wanted to be a pitcher so at the first practice the coach asked him to be one of the teams pitchers! He was EXCITED! At their first game a couple of weeks ago he got to start the game pitching. He pitched for 2 innings and he pitched 4 strikeouts! We were so glad Nonnie and Maw Maw Rat were here to see the games. It made his day to have them come watch him play. Last Sunday, he got to start the game pitching again and this time he pitched a no-hitter the first inning and he pitched 2 strikeouts in the second inning! He did such an awesome job that after the game the other team's coach came over to congratulate him! We are SO proud of him!! We only have 2 more weeks of games but the good thing is that he will get to stay with this team for the spring season. GO RED SOX!

Baking Cookies

A few weekends ago, momma and maw maw came to visit us. While they were here, one night we baked cookies. We all had so much fun; it kind of turned into a contest to see whose cookie looked the best!

The best part about baking cookies is licking the spoon!

Kamden is getting a little help from Nonnie

Just look at those sweet little hands!

She looks like she's done this a time or 2; don't you think? :)

Showing off their creations!

The finished products!

We took this picture on Sunday before church.
