WWE

A couple weekends ago we took the boys to Little Rock to see WWE. They were pumped!! We went early so we could run some errands and as we passed the Verizon Arena I told the boys "just think somewehere in Little Rock today is John Cena, Big Show, Kofi Kingston and all the other wrestlers. I wonder if we could find them." Well, we decided to go eat a late lunch at Outback and guess who was there??? JOHN CENA!! The boys couldn't believe it! When we got there he was eating so we didn't want to bother him. Our plan was to catch him as he left and ask for his autograph but we missed him. :( Oh well!

They had a great time at the show and I took lots of pictures for them.

One of Kamden's favorites is Santino Marella and the Cobra.

Here he is doing the Cobra.

Kofi Kingston, another favorite of Kamden's. He even made a sign supporting him but I don't have a picture of it.

Austin's guy, Zac Ryder.

Matching headbands.

THE STEEL-CAGE MATCH: JOHN CENA VS. BIG SHOW

This was the rivalry match because Austin was pulling for John Cena and Kamden was pulling for Big Show. However, I guess all that food from Outback paid off because John Cena won.

The Winner!!

Kamden Turns 6!!!

Thursday was Kamden's birthday. He had a busy but good day. He went to church camp this week on Tuesday and Thursday from 9-2. Tuesday after he got home I told him I missed him and he said... "I had so much fun I didn't even think about you!" GASP!! Can't you just hear him say that? So, he was ready to go back on Thursday. I took cupcakes and they sang "Happy Birthday" to him at lunch. After Heath got home from work he opened his presents.

He got lots of WWE and baseball stuff.

He's the WWE Heavyweight Champion!!

And he got a new bike!!

After he opened his presents we went on a 4 mile bike ride on the Searcy Bike Trails and then we went swimming to cool off. Finally, about 9:00 we had cake and ice cream. :)

Austin wanted to light the candles.

Making a wish! Guess what he wished for??? A broken arm like Austin had!!!! Hopefully that wish won't come true :)

Happy Birthday To Me!

Frday was my birthday and we spent the day in Little Rock for Heath to have knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus. It was just an outpatient procedure and everything went well and he is recovering fine. Since we didn't get to celebrate too much other than lunch at Red Lobster he went Saturday morning to buy my birthday presents. I didn't ask for anything because I couldn't think of anything I wanted but he insisted that I was getting something for my birthday. So here are my presents:

Heath and the boys wrapped presents for probably 2 hours but they did a good job. I got all kinds of stuff: fishing pole, cupcake maker, new swimsuit, some stuff for the pool, a new Bible cover and a lot more. It felt like Christmas!!

Here are my two patients with their icepacks that I have been nursing all weekend.

Kamden got hit in the eye with a baseball while they were playing in the yard yesterday. He is SO proud of his black eye; he keeps checking it in the mirror every so often. :)

Operation Patio/Firepit

Since the last time I blogged, Heath and I have tackled another 'weekend project'. This time it was a patio and firepit and let me tell you... it was NOT an easy task. It took MANY hours of hard labor but we got it finished and we are really enjoying all those smores and hotdogs. Heath started the project the weekend before Memorial Day because before we could really start he had to dig about one foot of dirt out so we could lay the stones even with the ground. He shoveled and hauled dirt ALL weekend. Thankfully, we only have one shovel so I didn't have to help with that part. :)

The boys spent Memorial Day weekend in Jena with my mom & dad. While they were gone Heath & I worked all weekend finishing the patio. Saturday about noon Heath tore his meniscus in his knee so that slowed us down a little considering that he could hardly walk but he was a trooper and didn't quit. However, we finished it on Sunday evening!!

Here are some pictures of weekend:

Thankfully Jason Coon let us borrow his tractor so we didn't have to use the shovel and wheelbarrow quite as much.

Each one of those stone weighed 40 pounds and each one had to be lifted at least twice!!

Sweeping sand into every crack so the stones would be set in place.

Starting the firepit.

We're DONE!!!!

M is for Mom

I had a good Mother's Day weekend. Saturday, we went fishing. We went to a nearby lake and fished from the bank. We had a good time and we caught about 50 fish! Sunday, after church, we fried our fish for lunch.

Kamden caught the first 2 fish and that made him "happy, happy, happy" as he quotes from Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty. :)

Austin caught the third and fourth fish. His fish in this picture kind of blends in with the bushes so you'll have to look hard to see it.

My fishermen just waiting on a bite.

This was part of my Mother's Day gift and I LOVE it!! We have almost finished one DVD already. Austin and Kamden love watching it too and yes, they are already saying "What you talkin' 'bout Willis?" LOL

Homeruns and Field Trips!

We are counting down the last two weeks of school. We only have 6.5 days left!!! But...as always the last few weeks of school are BUSY!

First things first, Austin and Kamden both hit homeruns in their baseball games this week. Of course, I didn't take my camera to the game so I don't have any pictures but we were so excited for them.

Austin's class went to Little Rock on Monday to a Civil War museum. They got to see some re-enactments of some of the ways people lived during that time. It was interesting and they enjoyed it.

This was the freed slave that talked to them.

They are learning some commands from the army general. Austin is kind of in the middle.

Kamden had a field trip on Tuesday. They went to the bowling alley here in Searcy.

Kamden's First Game

Last night was Kamden's first t-ball game. He was so excited; he couldn't wait to get there. He has been playing t-ball since he was 3 so he's a little burnt out on it and ready to move up to the next league. Heath & I tried to move him up this year but the league wouldn't allow it. So, he will just have to suffer through another season of t-ball. He believes that he is just as big as Austin and should be doing the same thing in his games that Austin is doing (including wearing a cup) HA! He played really good last night. He played at first base the entire game and made tons of outs (even the other parents were talking about how good he was) and he got some good hits too!! My cute little ballplayer.
Here he is leading off 2nd base 'just like Austin'. :)
Sliding into home (again...just like Austin). He wasn't too happy that the coach didn't move the tee the second time he came home; so he only got to slide once. :)
This is one of his outs at first. Look closely and you can see the ball in his glove.
